The Story...

Finally! A Video Business to make money with your computer and video camera that nearly anyone can do.

"Give me a few minutes and I'll show you how to start your own home business with your computer and digital camcorder making video biographies."

So here you are. You've got your new digital video computer (PC or Mac) and digital video camera, you love making home movies with them and now you just need a way to make some decent money doing what you love. Or, maybe you're already a professional videographer looking to add something to the services that you already offer. Let me tell you about the business I set up, and I'll show you how you can set one up for yourself.

This business is based on three of the strongest trends I have ever seen:
  • The Digital Video Revolution: computers have made it so easy to edit video.
  • The Retirement of the Baby-Boomers: this huge group of our population is ready to tell their life stories.
  • The Intense Desire that everyone has to Leave a Legacy for generations to come.

Now how can you put these three together and make some money, that is the question? I think I have found something that does...

Here is the story about how I got started...

My Story

After I was finished being the publisher of three weekly newspapers I became a grade three school teacher. One day a student complained about having to write too many stories, so I explained to her that I had to write 20 stories a week when I was in the newspaper business.

She still wasn't impressed.

Then I made her do the math on how many stories I had written in my 8 years as a publisher....

Over 7,000!

And do you know what the one thing I learned in the 7,000 stories I wrote?

Everyone, and I mean everyone, has a story worth telling. Sometimes I had to dig deep, but there is a story inside of everyone that gives their life meaning and purpose.

I made it my life's goal there in that third grade class that I would get as many people as I could to record their stories so that families and friends could enjoy them for generations to come.

So I got into business... and so can you.

That is why I came up with MyVideoStory.com, I soon realized that not everyone enjoys writing. But everyone loves to tell their stories to a friend, so I started to interview people with my video camera and then I would edit these interviews into 20 minute documentaries complete with a few photos from their photo albums.

These video biographies became instant heirlooms to the stars of the videos as well as preserving the stories for future generations.
Make $299 from each video.

I use my digital video camera and my digital video computer, the free video editing software that came with the computer and a few other gadgets that cost me less than another $1000 to run a business that I get $299 every time I make a video.

What I do is film people telling the story of their life. Edit it, and then give it to them on DVD to be preserved forever. A finished video is usually around 20 minutes.

Isn't it great to be a part of the digital video revolution!

Yea, but I know what you're really thinking:

"How much money can I really make by filming people telling their life's story?"

Show me the money!
